HOW LONG SHOULD MY INITIAL APPOINTMENT BE?

On your initial appointment, it is recommended that you have a minimum of 45 minutes. This is to fit in time for the initial consultation (this usually takes around 15 minutes).

HOW DOES SPORT MASSAGE DIFFER FROM REGULAR MASSAGE?

Sport massage focuses on working through a range of muscle depths and pressures to encourage soft tissue healing. Although there is also a therapeutic effect (just like in regular massage), we put more focus on techniques that promote muscle recovery.

DO I HAVE TO BE INVOLVED IN SPORT TO HAVE SPORT MASSAGE?

Absolutely not! Sport massage is suitable for anyone who feels that they are experiencing muscle tightness and could benefit from deep tissue massage. This could be upper back tightness due to working at a desk, lower limb tightness from regular dog walking, or just general tightness from day to day life!

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED AFTER CARE GUIDELINES FOLLOWING MY MASSAGE?

Drink plenty of fluids. Avoid intense workouts for 24 hours. Stretch and keep mobile. A hot bath is recommended to aid muscle relaxation. The use of heat/ ice therapy as advised by your therapist.
